TYPES OF COURSE

A PUBLIC course is where the course content is fixed and the course is open to anybody.  On a Public course you will find delegates from different companies

A CLOSED course is one that has been commissioned by a single company.  All delegates will be there with the agreement of that company and the course content can be slanted towards the needs of that company.

As a guide, if you have four or more delegates you will generally be better off opting for a closed course rather than a public one.

COURSE TIMES

Each course day is divided into two sessions.  The morning session  is from 9:30 to 12:30 and the afternoon session is 13:15 to 16:30.  Finishing times are approximate depending on the pace of the course.  Each session has a 15 minute comfort break at some convenient point and an additional 45 minute break for those attending a full day course.

PREREQUISITES

We request that you complete a Pre-course questionnaire which you can download from here.  This helps us plan your course more effectively and check that it will meet your needs.

Some courses DO have a requirement for prior knowledge. Whilst we will do everything to try and support you, we do reserve the right to ask you to leave the course if your lack of knowledge is significantly slowing down the pace of the course.  This is for the benefit of other delegates.

Obviously we will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour and anybody under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or who is aggressive or abusive, will asked to leave the course immediately.

If you are asked to leave a course for one of the above reasons there can be no refund of any fees paid.

COURSE MANUALS

Most of our courses are supported with a manual.   Some courses, particularly technical ones, are supported by  official curriculum courseware. Your booking form will make it clear if these are included in your course.

POST COURSE SUPPORT

At the end of any course your Tutor will be only too willing to go over any points with you or answer particular questions.  Furthermore you can telephone or email us for tutor support for up to 90 days after your course has completed.  This is a free service.

FACILITIES

Classrooms are set up to limit the delegates on a course to a number which allows the tutor to give personal attention.  Every delegate has the exclusive use of a workstation loaded with the software on which you are being trained. There are some exceptions to this (e.g. demonstration courses) but this will be made clear in your course booking.

The Training Centres have FREE car parking facilities.  Both our training centres are at ground level and have full disabled facilities.

If you need special workstation facilities then please contact us before the course to enable us to set these up for you.  This will prevent the course start time being delayed.

EXAMINATIONS

Some courses are designed to lead to exams particularly for vendor qualifications – e.g. MOC or MCAS.  You will not normally take the exams in the course by book them post course at your convenience.

Some courses have pre and post skills assessments.  These allow you and the Tutor to assess which areas of the course you will benefit most from and the post course assessment will demonstrate to you the knowledge you have acquired during the course.  The results of any assessment are confidential and are not released without your agreement.

COURSE QUESTIONS

You are encouraged to ask questions during the course to help understanding and ensure that issues that are important to you are addressed.

At the completion of any course our tutor will complete a simple report on your achievements during the course.  Some companies ask that we supply them with a copy of these reports.  Your company can tell you whether this will apply to you.

You are also requested to complete a questionnaire about us: the course; the tutor and the facilities.  Your completed questionnaire is returned to the person who booked the course.
