Networking & Partnerships
Merseyside ICT provides opportunities for business leaders to meet, exchange views, identify partnership opportunities and address local barriers to business growth through our local business networks. Our key partnerships with national market leaders such as IBM, Microsoft, BT, Samsung & Cisco and consultancies such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers also offer a crucial gateway to technology, training, vendor accreditation, strategic advice and opportunities.
International Trade Opportunities
A strong partnership between Merseyside ICT and the UK Trade & Investment (UK T&I) alerts local ICT companies to trade and global partnership opportunities.
Employment & Skills
Merseyside ICT encourages ICT companies to improve the skills of their workforce through the Skillworks programme run by the Learning & Skills Council. There is currently 60% funding available for any training that an ICT company requires subject to a company's eligibility. To enquire about training please email skillworks@merseysideict.org.uk or visit the website www.theskillworks.co.uk/ict.
Guidance to Business Support and funding assistance
The myriad organisations offering business support and funding in the sub-region is often confusing for businesses. As the first point of contact Merseyside ICT can sign-post companies to the most appropriate provider or funding organisation and make an introduction. Contact Arwen Reed for more information.
Sector News and Marketing
Merseyside ICT provides current regional and national news updates both through a monthly e-newsletter and online. Subscribe to the e-newsletter here. Merseyside ICT uses various marketing strategies to communicate the strength of the local ICT business base as a centre of excellence throughout all its services.
